Job Summary:
Reliance Gear is seeking an OD/ID grinder with experience working on small-lot production on manual grinding machines and thread grinding machines. Opportunities will be given to learning new machines if attitude and aptitude are demonstrated. Duration of set-ups varies from 1 to 3 hours. After set-up,
the first piece inspection is done by QC & production begins. Run times vary depending on the job order.
The workplace is a production environment where all jobs have a measured standard production rate that needs to be met and individuals are responsible for the quality of their own work. Most tasks require
good hand/eye coordination and the full range motion of both hands and arms on a regular basis.

Requirements include but are not limited to:
• Reading, writing, and oral communication skills in the English language.
• Minimum 3 years experience working with manual grinding machines.
• Experience holding tolerances as low as 0.0001″- 0.0003″
• Proficient in blueprint reading with knowledge and understanding of GD&T features.
• High energy team player who is self-motivated but with the ability to work self-sufficiently.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Organized and detailed oriented with knowledge of basic shop math.
• Experience working on the below listed relevant machines or similar manual machines is a must.
• Knowledge of using hoist & crane for heavier parts is a plus. Training provided if no experience.
• Experience working on CNC grinding machines is a plus.
